It's EASTER time! Bunnies... chocolate...coloured eggs...
Semana Santa - the Holy Week is knowingly one of the biggest holidays in Guatemala. Its worldwide celebrated Catholic holiday especially in countries like Guatemala, El Salvador, Spain, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and more that are predominantly Catholic countrieszz.
Basically what you need to know is that Semana Santa takes place over the week of Easter, some say specifically on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before Easter (10th of April till 16th of April 2022).
During this "Holly week" many people participate in parade through the streets in colourful costumes, carrying huge floats, and mourning the death of Christ. Yeah also in accompaniment of music bands otherwise this parade would look more or less awkward😬.

WHAT'S ABOUT?:
Laos as well as Thailand is best known for its Songkran party event. During this couple of days people washing their homes and images of Buddha with perfumed water....and nah its not all. Water fights! How good is it to spray each other with water during the hottest month of the year?! De facto water cleanses you of any bad luck, negative impact from the past year and blesses you with fortune for the year ahead as its believed.
Spraying each other with water outside on the streets! It is a real Water Festival in such hot and humid place; in April - 35.4°C (95.7°F) ...
Music and dance performances on stages throughout the city are guaranteed.

WHAT'S ABOUT?:
Another impressive, or if you like - 'mind-blowing' April event - AfrikaBurn! Indeed impressive especially for those who is into art, wants to build something and then set it on fire...or at least watch how people burning their sculptures. By all mean everyone can actively participate and if you have an art project to present than its another story - you would be much much more than welcomed.
What you must see there in the desert landscape of Tankwa (South Africa‘s northern Cape) is creative art, costumes, theatrical and other performances, theme camps, music, mutant vehicles...Well, the Nevada’s Burning Man festival is similar to it (Aug 28 - Sep 5th). Both festivals are focused on large wooden structures that are sent up in flames. All the angles will be covered by drones from the above to make sure you didn't miss a thing.
