Hi there!

I’m Alena, so if you wonder

…easily recognised by rookie post-surf hair mess aka Don King hairstyle and smell like a carrot (whatever it smells like)…

Here I look quite sleek!

…pinch of annoying bubbly attitude that comes with sport shoes or weekend stay-in-bed clothes.

Dreamed of riding the horse across the sand sloping gently into limpid, shallow waters on the south coast…ugh didn’t happen.

But as a backpacker I had seen the sunsets from different parts of the globe, more in the Northern Hemisphere, gathered things, which I keen to share – from city dwellers, tourists and even from new generation blokes. I should thank them for making my journey even more fun, more weighty!

Yeah “weighty”...heavy, back curving burden by potatoes, cabbages, and whatever national foods and tools they could stick to my bag, skin, and hair — still guessing was it a nice host gesture or the tourist rip-off joke — tourist luggage, city’s trash…cleaner roads messy trolls…er trolleys

Why WorlDare and why it was created?

The name WorlDare is quite simple, is it not? Combining 2 words and 2 meanings in one – World + Dare or World + Are (as a nerdy nerd the second is grammatically incorrect on its own but you got an idea).

Name just came to my head when I thought of ‘share and dare’ content …or “what in a f@#% worldahhh” just popped up in one moment …

As a one-week tourist, I couldn’t care less about how place does look like, what locals value, what culture do they have…pff rather heading to the most popular destinations during the off-tourist season — aka “save money live better”, and that’s borrowed (Walmart tagline).

But for a solid backpacker, before touring, many aspects MUST BE tapped in, which is actually launched that fun idea of challenge-share-dare web content.

…well thats not it…

my bad experiences (abroad) need to be tossed here, ingredients mixed (other scenarios) and served with the spicy seasoning (fun words to colour the story) …Ugh, got hungry now. To differ from other travel blogs  that, perhaps, are more info-set specialists of a city guide and hospitality matters and blah.

My fail time, including losing jobs, law violation, language gap (to bond with locals), and so forth — all from being abroad. Surely to get more “lesson learned” stories I teamed up with other daredevil.

My Experiences?

more about…

Sports –  extreme sports (‘Built2Thrill’).

Jumping on a plane/train (‘Pack&Roll’).

Get along with locals (Blog).

Aware of troubles (‘Explore&Dare’).

Traveled the world?

Hey I did’t see it all, and never will 😒 the world is small but quite big when walking it through on two short legs. Ahem, Im an optimist just for a record. Indeed, I lived and worked in different countries that are quiet well-known to many folks – Russia, USA, UK, Germany, France, China…

My traveling experiences involve a lot of documentations and financial loses. And yea, in many cases I could be smarter to “save money, live better” (this tagline again) . I was a loyal Walmart’s client…

There are always better ways…alternative routes, not touching coins; precisely, in some cases could be completely free.

NOTE: “free” must comes with “safe”.

How this travel website was build?

If still reading this bla bla …

So what can i say …um, few years of experience in graphic design (since 2016) helped.

To complete and bring the main content for this website, took me about a year and a half :  set the website idea, data checking, chose and pay for web-hosting, create web pages, write the content, test website’s technical tools, logo making ( still need more colours), add graphic design plugins  —  Voila! Run the website with decent and interesting content.

Dedicated (non-paid working, motivated by an idea 😄🙈) lived on savings to create funky-punky website talking about quite weird adventures and world events.

Must be tiring and annoying for some to read 😄
