Besides, you cannot resist the fact that this landscape of sandy land unveil an alien settings. Honestly, it looks like you suddenly stepped in on some other planet, perhaps on the 4th planet form the Sun (Mars), since in our daily life we are so far away from this mountainous oasis landscape, and rather stumble upon skyscrapers, bricky houses, shopping malls, parking lots, and other made-by-men structures. Oh well, we used to it by now as such ‘built-up’ surroundings suppose to make our lives easier. And it does, but it also takes away this sense of belongings to the nature itself.
That land, indeed, brings back this feelings of being in the wild area of the world, where you can connect with its deserted nature. Jordan has been gifted with the saltiest sea, which is the lowest point on Earth (jordan-travel.com, worldatlas.com) approx 414 m below sea level, shared with Israel on the left coast; Dynamic past with Nabataeans tribes – Arabian nomads – that built Petra city; Timeless hidden treasures; Wadi Rum; Mars’s looking landscape…

But what would we do there apart from eyes-round looking at mind-blowing structures that are still subjected for more detailed research on how it was built many centuries ago before our common era (Petra was built in 312 BCE ). One thing – take care of your daily agenda ahead, the time will run fast for you anyway if you are into historical matters, and on the other hand this is a country where you can enjoy peaceful quiet time and get your thoughts together. Keep in mind, there is no need to drag you beloved ones with you…just saying.

Can’t openly chill with city dwellers (language differences but still can count on basic English in touristic area)
Muslim culture, so be aware of the attitude toward women especially
Feeling hot and starving from walking under such sweltering heat (afternoon hours)
Expensive destination (might cost you approx 263 – 330$ per person for a day)
Might feel dizzy and headache at first from being below the true-altitude (sea level). Need acclimatisation process.
Need to consider the dress code : loose-fitting garments to cover your arms and legs, have a headscarf
